The Road to Motor Rove

Ben worked at a local mechanical workshop in Nairobi for over a year before — November 2021. He stayed active on Facebook, growing his page to 10,000+ followers, and also launched his YouTube channel URB TV KE which gained 400+ subscribers.

Amid that, in late 2022, he shifted gears away from entertainment journalism and founded Auto Daily Diary, an automotive news and review outlet. He also rebranded his social media presence in a way that aligned with this new direction, building his YouTube channel to over 1,000 subscribers.

A year later, in late 2023, Ben rubbed his hands together, a months-in-the-making deliberate decision in his head—Motor Rove was born, his vision of what an indomitable automotive site would be like. Motor Rove, which started under a different domain name before moving to its permanent home at motorrove.com.

  • To produce friendly articles that will fit car enthusiastic and buyers worldwide.
  • To provide well-rounded automotive journalism that enlightens, entertains, and educates.

A major milestone in Ben’s journey is Registration BeamFlex Media, the parent company of Motor Rove, which solidifies his long-term dedication to automotive journalism. In the future, he hopes to grow Motor Rove and release more interesting types of content like video reviews, deep car comparisons, and the ‘Street Surfs’ series focusing on bespoke cars and car culture.
