The Swedish Automaker Polestar has reveled Arctic Circle edition the Polestar 3 and the Polestar 4 expanding it’s lineup of performance EVs build for extreme winter condition. Following the steps of Polestar 2 Arctic Circle that was unvield back in 2022 this new models showcase brands commitment of blending electric performance with rally inspired engineering.
The Love of Polestar for the Scandinavian Flick isn’t something new. Back in 2022 , the Automaker transformed the Polestar 2 hatchback to fit in the Arctic Circle, giving it studded tires,Rally Lights raised suspension and other upgrades that would make it ready for extreme winter condition. The same treatment has been applied to the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 improving them in a similar fashion as the 2 also expanding it’s Arctic lineup.
The performance tuned in the Polestar 3 and 4 rhyme same with the one used in the 2. Both models gaining highest long range dual motor trims with performance package. The 3 produces 510 horsepower and 671 pound feet of toque while the 4 produces 536 horsepower and 506 pounds feet of toque. The Adjustable dumpers from Öhims used on both models give 3 ride height increase of 1.6 inch while the four gets an extra 0.8 inch of clearance.
Special 295/40R-20 Pirelli Scorpion All terrain plus tires with 300 4-mm studs are paired on both models. The Polestar 2 Received specialized 19 inch Pirelli Scorpion All terrain plus with 250 4-mm studs (245/45R19) for ice track driving. This shouldn’t have any issues with griping unless when engaged 4 arctic circle drift by engaging it on hydraulic hand brake.
Both new Arctic Circle models have distinct appearance, featuring 19 inch OZ Racing wheels, a stedi Pro LED front spotlight mudflaps and gold tow hooks.While they share these enhancements each models has its own unique equipment. Starting with the Polestar 3 Arctic Circle it’s designed for utility. It comes with custom roof bucket that holds number of equipment like Spare tires, a snow shovel,snow ladder and extra roof light bar. For the Polestar 4 it’s tailored for adventure and it feutures all terrain skis mounted on the windowless rear hatch.
The Newly lineup of expanded Arctic Circle models will make it’s first public appearance on February 1st 2025 at the F.A.T Ice Race in Zel am See, Austria. Neither the 3 or 4 won’t go into production but the company is set to showcase it’s performance DNA this weekend.
