Toyota recalls over 140,000 vehicles due to safety concerns. In a press release from Toyota USA on the 6th of February 2025, more than 41,000 vehicles in North America have been affected.
The vehicles recalled include the 2025 Toyota Camry, Lexus NX 2024, and 2025 Lexus RX. The safety issues revolve around the second-row center seatbelt of the subject vehicle, which may have been damaged at the time of manufacturing, causing it to be unable to meet the certain strength requirements.
If the second-row center seat is occupied, the passenger may be subjected to a lot of risks or injuries during crashes or accidents. Customers will be required to visit Toyota and Lexus dealers who will conduct an inspection on the third-row center seatbelt, and if it will require replacement, they will replace the seatbelt free of charge.
To be able to involve all the vehicles, Toyota will notify their customers by early April 2025. To be able to see if your vehicle is subjected to the safety recall, customers can visit Toyota.com/recall, Lexus.com/recall, or visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Authority (NHTSA) at NHTSA.gov/recalls. You will be required to fill out your vehicle identification number (VIN) or license plate information.

Also within the Toyota recalls, safety recalls have been contacted involving around 2024 to 2025 Tacoma 4-wheel drive vehicles that have 16-inch and 17-inch Toyota wheels. Most vehicles are from North America, Central America, and South America and other regions.

The recall has affected over 106,000 vehicles in the US. The subject of the recall is the rear brake hoses, which can be damaged over time if there is much accumulated mud and dirt inside the rear wheels after being driven under certain road conditions. The results will lead to brake fluid leaks. Just like the 25MY Toyota Camry, Lexus NX, and 24-25MY Lexus RX, all users are required to visit local dealers for a look-up and, if necessary, get a fix-up.
