2025 Volkswagen Taos Arrives With new Styling and More Power

The 2025 Volkswagen Taos Gets refreshed for North America. This subcompact SUV gets improvements in the major issues like poor transmission in AWD models. All wheel drive models now get an eight-speed automatic transmission same as in the front drive models.

The eight-speed automatic transmission replaces the outgoing AWD seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The 2025 Taos power com from a 1.5-liter engine that produces a total of 174 horsepower up from 158 horsepower and torque output of 184 pounds feet. For the 158 HP Taos hit 60 mph in 7.4 seconds for fwd and 7.5 seconds on 4 motion all wheel drive.

The Volkswagen Taos interior has been updated with light colored lower dashboard and has been incoperarated with 8.0-inch infotainment display. The cloth seats has a two tone colors, black and grey on the S trim and the SE trims receive upgraded cloudtex and cloth upholstery. The SEL trims has leather seats in dack blue or black and grey.

The exterior also get upgrades from the new grilles rear light with illuminated VW badge, front light bar, and projector LED headlamps that are installed on all models. The SE models also get adaptive headlights and front and rear parking sensors. The wheels come in 17-inches ,18-inches and 19-inches sizes.

The toned down grille and lower facia gives the VW Taos an elegance appearance that aligns with VW’s EVs . The color palette of Taos include fresh Monterey Blue Pearl , Bright Moss Green and Monument Gray.

The 2025 Taos will go on sale late this year. The pricing be announced on closer date and the Taos will have plenty of driver aids baked in, such as Travel Assist, front collision warning and brake assist, rear traffic alert, and more.
